We are on the hunt for a passionate and talented UI/UX designer to join our Analysis and Design Chapter. You will be working closely with our Creative Director and UI specialist, both who are passionate about UX, design and accessibility. We explore problem spaces using Design Thinking and Human-Centred Design approaches to ensure we create and deliver the right solutions. We like to work on tricky problems and learn from  experts in their fields to create solutions that we can feel proud of.


About you:

Whatever your background, you will definitely need: 

  • A sound knowledge of UI, UX and accessibility best practices for the web;

  • A strong interest in keeping up to date with software application and website design and technology trends; 

  • Experience working with a wide range of people (eg.  business stakeholders, PMs, POs, BAs and developers) to deeply understand requirements;

  • Passion for solving customer problems with creative design solutions;

  • An eye for design with strong attention to detail;

  • Impeccable written and spoken english;

  • Comfortable with technology, using it, supporting it and learning new things;

  • Curious and inherently motivated by review, feedback and improvement;

  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively;

  • Willing to go the extra mile to make our partners & stakeholders happy;

  • Flexible and highly adaptable to ever changing priorities;

  • Able to pick up new things quickly and take ownership.

 

Some of the practical day-to-day things you can expect to be doing:

  • Conducting user research, interviews, surveys and usability testing;

  • Creation of User Personas and Scenarios to help inform design decisions;

  • User Interface design and development including creation of wireframes and user-flows;

  • Communicating with client to understand their business goals and objectives;

  • Creating prototypes for new product ideas and to validate approaches with users;

  • Refinement of Media Suite’s UX and UI design processes. 

 

Skills, Experience & Education:

  • Proven experience with UI design for web-based software interfaces;

  • Industry experience of at least 3 years in a similar environment preferably an Agile software development environment; 

  • Proficiency with tools like Sketch, UXPin, Figma, inVision, Adobe XD etc;

  • Experience with working with or creating design systems and pattern libraries;

  • Experience creating UX artefacts like wireframes, personas, user journey maps, scenarios.
