Project Coordinator/ Team support (Parental Leave Cover - 12 month term)
We are a small team of web application developers with a wide range of interesting clients and projects. In the last 15 years we have worked on around 1400 projects for about 350 clients – the diversity is genuine and keeps us sharp; it also keeps us really, really busy.
We are looking for the right person to join our team, somebody we can trust to look after people, relationships and projects. Someone willing to examine where we can improve, to take care of our detail while also being happy to lift weight on project coordination and delivery.
We are a team of curious-minded people who support each other, hold robust debates and don’t mind helping each other move house on the weekend. We thrive on challenges, we view our successes (and failures) as opportunities for growth, and we never, ever want to stop learning. We value mindset over skill set and we believe the team is more powerful than the individual.
Whatever your background, you will definitely need to be:
incredibly organised with outstanding attention to detail;
the possessor of impeccable written and spoken english;
Comfortable in a client-facing role when required
comfortable with technology, using it, supporting it and learning new things;
curious and inherently motivated by review, feedback and improvement.
able to work both independently and collaboratively;
willing to do whatever it takes to make our partners happy
be flexible and highly adaptable to ever changing priorities
great at working to deadlines and juggling competing priorities
effective time management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities
excellent at wrangling people and information to keep our internal teams on track
Some of the practical day-to-day things you can expect to be doing:
Drafting Statements of Work
Work planning and resourcing
Invoicing / and reporting oversight & creation
Scheduling of meetings & wrangling stakeholders
Providing information and support to stakeholders
Being the point of contact for various working groups
Tracking and reporting on budgets
Developing in-depth understanding of project scope and particulars i.e. timeframes, financials, outcomes
Updating risk registers, issue registers as needed
Managing partner communications, documentation, minute-taking etc
Arrange and attend project meetings across various project streams
Supporting key members of the team with their organisation and administration needs.
You will definitely have relevant professional experience. We don’t want to prescribe what that experience might look like but it would be advantageous if you had some experience working in fast-paced, Agile environments. A technical background is not essential but it would definitely be helpful. We encourage you to write us a covering letter telling us who you are, why you’d be a great fit for this role, and what you bring to the table.
What we offer:
An awesome team to work with;
A place to grow;
Interesting clients & varied projects;
Some flexibility in hours & clever tools - so you can achieve balance in work and play;
This role will be based in our Christchurch office, so being based in New Zealand with the right to work here is key.
