Media Suite's CoLabs team is currently delivering on a number of high value, high intensity engagements in the environmentally focused public sector. Our reputation and demand for our work in these spaces just keeps growing, and a busy 2022 lies ahead.

This role requires a clever, engaged, adaptable Business Analyst and complex problem solver to jump in and start adding value. 

You should be comfortable getting your head into complexity, with the ability to step back and think big picture, real world impact, real users. You must be comfortable in a client-facing environment as the CoLabs  team works hand-in-hand with our partners and their teams to deliver. You must be comfortable with context switching, deadlines and a feedback culture that thrives on the success of the collective. 

About you:

Whatever your background, you will definitely need: 

  • Previous experience defining partner requirements and turning them into information that they can engage with;

  • To be comfortable leading workshops and partner engagement meetings;

  • Experience with system and process mapping;

  • An ability to collate and derive value and insight from high volumes of information in order to drive understanding, improvement and communication of outcomes;

  • A passion for solving complex problems with simplicity at the heart of your thinking;

  • Impeccable written and spoken english;

  • Comfortable with technology, using it, supporting it and learning new things;

  • Curious and inherently motivated by review, feedback and improvement;

  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively;

  • Willing to go the extra mile to make our partners & stakeholders happy;

  • Flexible and highly adaptable to ever changing priorities;

  • Able to pick up new things quickly and take ownership.

Some of the practical day-to-day things you can expect to be doing:

  • Leading our partners through the analysis and problem solving process

  • Leading the analysis and design of project workstreams

  • Building wireframes or mockups

  • Keeping all stakeholders appraised with effective communication

  • Managing the product backlog, including recording ideas for future development

  • Contributing your skills and perspective to a highly collaborative team across a diverse range of subjects and applications.

Skills, Experience & Education:

We are open to considering a range of experience levels for this role as we have the internal capability to support someone at a more junior level. What’s important is your proven problem solving ability and great analytical and critical thinking skills, along with an understanding of the fundamentals and principles behind requirements identification, analysis and wireframing.

Ideally, this role will be based in our Christchurch office,  so being based in New Zealand with the right to work here is key. While  we are keen to employ a full-time role,  we also understand that full-time work does not fit into everyone's lives. With this in mind, we will work closely with the right person to balance the work/life hustle.
